The real Jenny Berdos is not frugal. I've learned that word in college. I went to Thames in college at San Juan, Greenhills. Everyone in my class learned that word. But it was explained in a thousand words or more. I really don't understand how Thames choose their teaching materials but yeah there was a full quarter when we just discussed the book "The Millionaire Next Door". I never read a page or more of it, though. Do you know why? Because I was not a reader. I knew how to read but I never was a fan of reading at that time and like 10 years after that. I went to Thames in 2000 and went back home here in Davao in 2002.
So, back to the book. There was a whole chapter in that book about being frugal. In fact, the title of the chapter was "Frugal. Frugal. Frugal". I didn't know the meaning of the word, then, so I asked my friend Daphne Flores (she's been married for three years now, so her name's Daphne Lanzona). Back in 2000, Daphne explained that it was being cheap or being mindful of your purchases. I can also remember my teacher Professor Ed Silva discussing the book with us and making us read one paragraph or a page at a time. Or was it the book called "48 Laws of Power". This always happens. Whenever I'm writing, there's another thought that would cross my mind and the whole blog is ruined. I don't make sense. But yeah, practice. I'm not going to edit those lines because I've already typed it. I also don't have time to proofread any of my blogs. Okay. Stop. Where was I again? Oh yeah, the book. Back to the post. The post's title is Frugal. That's what I want to accomplish here in my blog. To save money and change my spending and saving ways. Well, just my spending ways because I have not saved a dime in my life. Whenever I receive my salary, I always find ways to spend it. Like on our household bills, or groceries, makeup, clothes, shoes and crazy stuff.
I have to change. I have to start a saving way. Whatever way it is, just start. Okay, Mrs. Jenny Berdos? You're married now. Things have changed. You have to think about the future. You and your husband's future. Your future family. Your future child or children.
Here's my problem. I don't know how to save. My dad Jayme Ong gives me a weekly allowance of $45 or Php 2000 and it just won't see the light of day. Just like today. I received the sum and spent it all and the remaining sum of my salary last Tuesday. So, I always get around $325 every week and it's gone before the week ends. I have to help myself! I shouldn't rely on my dad to give me money! I'm already 32 years old. So, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to blog about my purchases so I'll know how much I'm spending on what. And I should also blog about my savings. I will disclose everything because I'm transparent that way.
People will eventually read this and maybe my friends or enemies are already reading this but I don't care if they know intricate details of my life. I'm here for one thing. That is to save money.
Today is August 29, 2016 and it's already 11:33 PM on my watch. My cash on hand? Php 850. And on bank? Php 200. Way to go me!
I have money (weekly salary) coming tomorrow at 5 PM and it's $287. My salary tomorrow is exactly Php 12,978.14. It didn't even go to the whole Php 13,000 like I have anticipated. So, yeah. I'd have Php 14,028.14. Yehey! I'm planning on saving the Php 4,028.14 and pay my car loans, bills and jewelry monthly amortizations with the remaining sum (Php 10,000). That's the plan! I'll get back to you and myself tomorrow!

No-Filter Blog and Photo. How Much Do I Earn?
My name is Jenny Berdos. That's Mrs. Jenny Berdos to you!
I got married last June 24, 2016. I can't believe I'm a 2-month-old wife! I'm going to talk about my wedding in the next post. But first, I have to write my very first blog! Well, for this year that is.
It's a sunny Monday afternoon. God, it's hot! I just took a shower in this photo but it's still hot. I can feel my face burning up as the warm breeze touch my skin. Whew! This is a no-filter photo of me. But it looks like my laptop's camera automatically edited this because I don't believe my skin has ever looked this good. It's not great but it's good for me. I want to write blogs about my thoughts. It's like having a diary and I can access it anytime, anywhere. I just started blogging (I think so). I wrote blogs 3 years ago and the years before that. All in all, I think I just wrote around 2 blogs. I can't find the Cetaphil cleanser review though that was written I think about 5 years ago.
Okay so, now. I'm going to write my first blog. My husband Paul Berdos is not psyched about this, about me blogging. Maybe because it will take up so much of my time. I don't know. He's in the living room thinking I'm getting dressed to go out with him and pay our water bill at the Felcris Centrale Mall but I'm not. I'm blogging.
Just a quick reminder to myself that I started this because I want to:
1. Inspire myself to be better.
2. Inspire others to be better or accept themselves in and out.
3. Take note of what I'm doing if not everyday, then at least every week.
4. Be creative with words even though I think my writing style tends to be awkward-sounding and
5. Be the perfect wife. (Blogging will make me a better wife, I think).
I accept my limitations. People should accept their limitations. I have a lot of limitations. I don't have the eye nor the ear. I can't tell if someone's singing is greater than the other. I can't tell if someone's photo is better than the other. It's just that bad. But I think I can get away with it? I can always say "I like this photo better." or "I like his singing better." Right? It's my opinion and I don't care if no one agrees with me. It's just that. Of course someone will agree with me because there are only 2 options. option 1 and option 2. Ask a million people and someone is bound to agree with me. I just know it.
Mondays are usually my time to:
1. Watch movies and eat popcorn (lots of carbs) with my husband Paul Berdos. (I wonder if I drop my husband's name a lot, this blog will pop up at the top of Google's search engines when I Google "Paul Berdos".)
2. Eat dinner with papa Jayme Ong and my brother Jazzy James Ong. (I also wonder if I drop my family's name a lot, this blog will pop up at the top of Google's search engines when I Google "Jayme Ong" and "Jazzy Ong".)
3. Take the day off.
4. Blog (starting today).
5. Withdraw my funds from Upwork.com to my bank account (Unionbank).
So how much do I earn?
I'm really transparent. I'm not sure why people don't disclose that information to others but I'm pretty fine disclosing mine. I make around Php 13, 000.00 per week. That's around $285. Upwork dollar exchange rates are different from the real one or from the country. I write 1500 snippets per week and no more no less for a San Francisco-based online company called Thumbtack.com.

About Jenny Berdos
About MeThe Writer
Snippet Writer
I write snippets for a company called Thumbtack.com. I basically just summarize lengthy or one-liner service descriptions into 130-character snippets. Blog Writer I don't remember the exact number of blogs I made but I'm pretty sure it was only two. One was a review for Cetaphil and the other one was a review for Aromacology products and I wrote the latter one on Blogger.com or is it blogspot.com? I'm really not sure if they're the same or not. So, yeah, that's me. The complete novice! Article Writer I used to write articles for a living. Now, I don't have projects writing articles but I'm fine doing some if I get writing gigs on Upwork.com (it used to be oDesk.com but they changed it to Upwork.com). About Me
Shopaholic
Yep! That's me! But I vow to change that!!!! Right here, right now! I used to shop 5 different kinds of lip glosses in less than an hour. I always hate the feeling that when you wanted something and when you came back to purchase it, it's gone? Or they ran out of stocks? Hate that! That's why I became this shopaholic monster. Style Getter I love reading fashion magazines and I recreate some of the looks into my everyday outfits. I'm not a style setter and I'm not creative that way. Well, I'm really not sure about that. Maybe, I am creative but I just need to exert more effort into something that I want before I could produce something amazing? Reader I read fashion magazines, Harry Potter and other YA novels such as Twilight and Divergent series. I also read the Shopaholic series. I think that those are so relatable. | About MeThe Needs Improvement
Creative Side
Need to improve my creative side and I think I can do that by just creating something, anything. I can't draw but I know I can improve by practicing. Allot time for practice. I should practice so I won't such at things anymore. Photography I don't have the eyes. I can't tell the difference of a great photo from a greater photo. I'm not an artist. Maybe. Not yet. Or not at all. I don't have the eyes yet but I should change that. Or I shouldn't. I will write a blog about why I shouldn't improve my photography skills. About MeThe Wife
Happy Wife
I am a happy wife. My husband Paul Berdos is the one to be blamed about my happiness. I married the man of my dreams and the love of my life. I've been living the years that are unforgettable to me for nearly a decade. These years are with him. Content Wife Content but childless. My husband and I would love to have a child. We will have one someday. We have to work on it. Go to doctors and take supplements. I still am contented with my life because it's all I have. My life. My life with my husband. I'm happy and I can't complain. I may be childless but I'm still contented.
